COMPARISON: BEFORE & AFTER THE ADDITION OF PRO-TECH SNO PUSHERS
Before: Steve’s Lawns would clear the lot using an F550 and a Mitsubishi Fuso with straight blade plows. The trucks would windrow to clear the aisles and then move the snow by windrowing the long pushes to get the snow in designated areas. The process would take 2 employees 4 hours to complete, requiring a total of 8 man hours to clear the lot.
After: Steve’s Lawns currently clears the lot with its 14’ Steel Sno Pusher on a Case 580E backhoe and with an ATV with a straight blade. The ATV is used to clear snow from the sidewalks onto the lot and clear the edges of the islands. The Steel Edge Sno Pusher clears the snow in the aisles and the piles made by the ATV to the designated areas. The Sno Pusher is able to clear the 400ft lengths in single passes. This process now takes 1.5 hours and 2 men to complete, requiring a total of 3 man hours. The addition of the 14’ Steel Edge Sno Pusher resulted in a 62.5% reduction in man hours.
