ROCHESTER, NY (January 24, 2018) – This winter, Pro-Tech will once again be highlighting the important role that snow and ice professionals play within their communities. Pro-Tech’s Sno Fighters contest pays tribute to “Sno Fighter’s by giving them the opportunity to win prizes and be recognized for their efforts in keeping their communities open when snow falls. To participate, interested parties simply need to submit a picture or video of how their company manages snow. Submissions can be made on Pro-Tech’s Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter pages. Participants are asked to use the hashtag #snofighters. All positions at a snow removal company are encouraged to get involved, from those who simply shovel snow to snow plow drivers and heavy equipment operators. Even snow and ice professionals who use competitive products are able to play.
Participants will receive a Pro-Tech care package filled with several gifts and information on Pro-Tech’s latest products.
Pro-Tech, who has been manufacturing snow pushers and snow plows for 25 years has a long history of giving back to the industry. In past years, Pro-Tech has held contests and events focused on highlighting snow and ice professionals, even going as far as producing a documentary about the industry in 2011 called Project Sno Fighter.
“While we are always focused on building the best snow pushers and snow plows in the business, we also want to continually find ways to highlight the hard work of our customers,” said Pro-Tech President Michael Guggino. “Being a snow plow operator is an often under-appreciated job but one that is critical to keeping communities moving during winter events. Whether it’s an ambulance, school bus, or person traveling home from work; Sno Fighters are the reason that we can all reach our destination safely during a winter storm.”
Many areas of the country are seeing above-average snowfall with Erie, PA being one of the most notable at 80 inches over the normal average for this time of year. Pro-Tech has already received over 75 snow plow photograph and video submissions this season.
